Upon arrival in Erbil for the 1st day of your Iraq group tour package for 8 days 7 nights, the capital of Kurdistan, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is leisurely for you to relax or explore. Stay overnight in Erbil.

Erbil: Where Ancient History Meets Modern Charm

Explore the 7,000-year-old Citadel of Erbil on foot, one of the oldest continually inhabited cities globally, and a new hot spot in the Middle East. Visit the historic Citadel, Textile Museum, and Qaysari Bazaar. Enjoy lunch at a famous local restaurant and visit the remaining parts of the 12th-century Choli Minaret.

Gaugamela: Step into the Battlefield

After breakfast, you will visit St Matthew’s Monastery and meet the local monks, then head to Gaugamela, the site of the famous battle between King Darius and Alexander the Great. You will continue to the sacred village of Lalish, where you will learn about the ancient rituals of the Yazidi faith. En route, you stop at Jerwan, the oldest aqueduct and bridge ruin in the world. You will end our day in Dohuk.

Dohuk: Unravel the Hidden Gems

In the morning on the 4th day of the Iraq group travel package, you will visit Al Qush's churches and monasteries, including the third-century Hormizd monastery, and explore Gara village's fascinating remains of one of Saddam's palaces. In the afternoon, you return to Dohuk and, if time permits, visit the bazaar. Stay overnight in Dohuk.

Amadiya: Discover the Intersection of Diverse Cultures

Visit Amadiya, a mountain town with a 400-year-old mosque and third-century Synagogue. Visit the Egyptian Madrasa and have lunch before moving to Barzan, the Barzani tribe's ancestral home. Stop at the Barzan Memorial Museum and Mullah Mustafa Memorial. Continue through Barzan's scenic route and visit the Shanidar Neanderthal Cave. Spend the night in Barzan.

Rawanduz: Journey through the Rugged Beauty

On the 6th day of the Iraq group holiday package, after leaving Rawanduz, you drive through the mountains and reach Sulaymaniyah, the second-largest city in Iraqi Kurdistan. Departure: Until We Meet Again

Return to Erbil and visit the ancient Zarzi cave, before departing for the airport depending on the flight time.
