After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, set out for Kelmendi, the northernmost region of Albania, where mountainsides clothed in forests and pastures emerge into the view. With its breathtaking 360-degree vistas and intriguing history, Rozafa Fortress is a great place to stop along the road for a guided tour. Take a moment to take pictures at the Blue Eye of Tamara and Leqet e Hotit Pass. Set out to explore some paths after discovering the waterfall and the historic stone mill. In the evening, arrive at the guesthouse and savor a sumptuous dinner.
After a filling breakfast and with your picnic lunch prepared, set out on a walk through Dobku Mountain's woodland towards Vajusha Peak. Enjoy your meal while seeing the breathtaking Accursed Mountains. Get to Grebaje Valley in the Prokletije National Park and board a local bus to get to our hotel in Vusanje.
Prior to beginning the hike, travel via Grebaje Valley. The roughest terrain of the Prokletije/Bjeshkt e Namuna mountains is traversed by the path. Nearly the entire walk is encircled by formidable mountains with breathtaking vistas. This route gives you a glimpse into the past of the area when it was a restricted area under the Communist regime. By the crossing still exist a border military outpost, a bunker, and the pyramid-shaped border crossing sign. The magnificent village of Theth, with its classic tower homes surrounded by sharp mountains, is where the transfer hike comes to an end.
Take in the sights and sounds of the waterfall and canyon. Relax with a refreshing swim at the Natural Pools and a picnic lunch in the Blue Eye of Theth. In the afternoon, visit the village of Theth, where the highlights include a four-century-old tower used as a reconciliation tower and a 100-year-old, well-preserved church.
In the morning, enjoy Valbona's stunning settings on a vast plain surrounded by high mountain ranges. Explore the village of Kukaj or spend the morning in Valbone Valley before heading to Fierze Dam and boarding a boat for a picturesque trip across rugged mountains and vibrant green hills. Transfer to Tirana and check into your hotel.
