Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture, a grand year-long event which is a partnership between the Qatar Museum, the United States Embassy in Doha, and the Embassy of Qatar in the United States is set to begin later in the month of March as the program announces year-long events. Showcasing multiple attractions from both countries, the programme would feature a wide range of events like exhibitions, bilateral exchanges, festivals, and so on.

The event was first established in the year 2012 by Qatar Museums as an initiative to highlight and strengthen ties between Qatar and other nations around the world. Following the trend of a new partner nation every year, the United States of America will feature in this year’s programme.

Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture will begin on the 24th of March tentatively will events like the Tasweer Photo Festival, a special exhibition on dugongs, and much more. The events would only be a couple of the many more to come later in the year.

As stated by Greta C Holtz, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Qatar,

"The Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture will be an opportunity to further strengthen the friendly diplomatic relations that have been there between the two nations since 1972."

With events about to take place in both countries throughout the year, this will, in fact, be an opportunity to build on the 50 years of friendly relations between Qatar and the United States.
