By Air -

Reaching Bahrain by air is one of the top choices for travelers today. The Bahrain International Airport is the main hub for travelers coming to the country. Airlines like FlyDubai, Gulf Air, Sri Lankan Airlines, Emirates, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, and Jet Airways operate direct flights from some of the most popular destinations around the world.

By Bus -

Reaching Bahrain by bus is also an option for travelers. There are direct buses that run from Riyadh to Manama and the journey takes about 4 hours or more. However, travelers are advised to make their reservations beforehand as seats get filled up easily. While a passport is mandatory to make the booking, both Saudi Riyals and US dollars are accepted for payment. Crossing the border involves passport and custom checks.

By Rail -

There are no direct trains that run all the way to Bahrain. The closest country to Bahrain is Saudi Arabia that is about 415 KM away. There are trains that run from Riyadh to Dammam, post which, travelers are required to take a bus journey to Bahrain.

By Road -

Reaching Bahrain by road remains a valid option for the visitors. One can enter from Saudi Arabia into Bahrain King Fahd causeway at no additional visa charges. Since Saudi Arabia is the closest country to Bahrain, traveling by road there is a feasible option for visitors. Upon entering the Bahrain King Fahd causeway, travelers are required to pay toll charges of 20 SAR. As for the visitors from Saudi? One is required to pay an amount of 150 SAR at the causeway.  

Note: - Driving on your own involves a lot of paperwork at the causeway. Hence, it is advised to travelers to not drive themselves. Rather, hire one of SABTCO'S taxis that will take you across.

By Water -
