Dubai, one of the Middle East's most popular destinations, would be host to the first-ever in-person travel and tourism event in the world since the onset of the pandemic last year. The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2021 has reconfirmed that Dubai will be host to the 28th edition of the event that will go ahead at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).  

The event will kick off on Sunday, 16th May 2021, and end on Wednesday, 19th May 2021. This will also mark the debut of a new hybrid format, according to which, the event would be held both in-person and virtually.

Once the show begins, 62 countries from around the world will be represented on the exhibition floor with the likes of Germany, KSA, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, Malaysia, Maldives, and Thailand being part of the large group.  

Dubai To Host The First In-Person Travel & Tourism Event In The World

There will be 67 conference sessions featuring 145 local, regional, and international speakers that will make for a grand occasion for the nations taking part in it.  

As stated by Claude Blanc, Portfolio Director, WTM& IBTM Portfolios, the theme of this year's show would be, ‘A New Dawn for Travel and Tourism’.

The event would shed a spotlight on the latest news surrounding Covid-19 from around the world. The keys points to be discussed are - vaccine rollouts, the current state of the industry, and more significantly, what the future holds.  

ATM 2021 would be a global stage for the hotel industry summit and special sessions on a number of key issues. For Dubai and the rest of the world, this will be the first-ever in-person global event since the onset of the pandemic last year.
